Inner City
MIF has worked in the very low income areas of Los Angeles since 2003 providing a variety of resources to the most needy and forgotten in our society.

Food Outreach
The Challenge – According to “Feeding America” 1.5 million people in LA County face food insecurity which includes 1 out of every 5 children.
The MIF Response – The MIF Food Truck delivers daily approximately 25,000 pounds of food to 15-20 local charities.
- MIF makes sure the heavy equipment, forklifts and trucks are operating for the volunteers.
- MIF also sponsors several other inner city programs such as Youth Sports, after School learning and Christmas outreach.
“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother in need but has no pity, how can the LOVE OF GOD be in Him” John 4:17

Homelessness
The Challenge – In 2015-2016 there were 63,000 homeless children in LA County as counted by the public and charter schools in the county.
The MIF Response – Local agencies who work with homeless and family abuse situations provide MIF a list of families ready to transition into a new housing situation. The families often have nothing. MIF is able to provide a new housing set up including furniture, kitchen ware and other necessities. MIF receives in-kind donations from a variety of sources and the supplies are delivered by MIF to the new housing locations.

Camps - Mentorship
The Challenge – In the LA school district over 26% of the students do not graduate and there are an estimated 120,000 gang members in LA County.
The MIF Response – Each year MIF sends over 250 “at risk” inner city youths to summer camp. Each participant is paired with an adult mentor who continues the relationship for the entire year emphasizing character and spiritual development.
The Fun– Inner city kids who have excelled in the mentorship
program are rewarded with a day at Knott’s Berry Farm.
